Grassroots Campaign Creations, Ltd. ("Grassroots"), a regularly incorporated business in the state of Nevada, is the sponsor of this site. In compliance with the requirements of our credit card merchants and our gateway and services providers, we have set forth on this page our transaction rules for Donors.
First, we mention that this statement can be referred to as the "Grassroots Donor Bill of Rights" and it establishes the rights under which Grassroots pledges it will perform.
Email Rights: Our patrons bring to us records of their donors and we, in turn, send messages to these lists of donors at the request of our patrons. We do not endorse or support the contents of any message simply by sending a patron's message, or anything found in that message. Within the bounds of decency and the applicable law, we believe in freedom of thought, expression and communication and do not in any way act as a censor. Therefore, Grassroots cannot be held responsible for anything set forth in a message or campaign directed to the list of any particular patron. If you, the donor, are found on multiple patron lists, you will always have the option to unsubscribe yourself from any, or all, such lists as we always provide an unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email communication that we send.
Cash Refund Rights: We promise to make to any cash donor a refund of the full amount of any donation if a request in writing is made to us for such a refund directed to firstname.lastname@example.org within 90 days of the time that the original donation was made. The refund will only be made in the manner in which the donation was originally created. For example, if a donor uses a Visa credit card then our refund will be made to that Visa credit card only. The refund typically will be made within 24 hours of the time that Grassroots receives from a donor a request for refund, but in no case will the refund be made in more than 72 hours (not counting weekends, national holidays, state holidays - in a jurisdiction in which Grassroots operates), during any bank holiday imposed by regulatory decree or governmental action or force majeure such as an internet outage of a regional nature.
Purchaser Refund Rights: We promise to make to any purchaser of FaxGrams, offered through a patron on the Grassroots site, any donation part of the transaction on the same terms and conditions as set forth above in Refund Rights. The purchase price of the faxing (defined as the lowest price offered in any particular FaxGram campaign) is expended on long distance phone charges, faxing costs, licensing fees and other pay-as-you go cost elements and is, therefore, not refundable. Grassroots always discloses the donation part of FaxGram charges by showing the following: + Donation. Thus, if a FaxGram campaign purchase price is $10.00, the campaign can be completed by a purchaser for $10.00; however, our patron could suggest additional amount(s) that might be paid and in such case the description will always include the statement "+ Donation". Therefore, the amount to be refunded will not exceed that amount of the total amount charged minus the purchase price. For example, if the amount charged is $75.00 and the purchase price is $10.00 (without any donation), then the amount that will be refunded is $65.00.
Telephonic Donations & Purchases: We never permit donors or purchasers of FaxGrams to submit to us credit card information over the telephone. It is far more secure to utilize the strong SSL encryption offered on our site than to do so over the telephone.
Donor & Purchaser Information Retrieval: Many of the patrons of Grassroots are tax-exempt charities. Thus, we often receive inquiries if a donation is tax deductible. Grassroots will answer the question of deductibility based upon information provided to it from the patron. During the period of 90 days after the transaction, Grassroots will provide an answer telephonically at 800-362-2723. After 90 days, please direct any inquiry to email@example.com with your complete name and address, the date of the transaction and, if you still have the email receipt sent to you from Grassroots, a copy of that email. DO NOT EVER SEND US ANY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION THROUGH EMAIL.
Telephone Donations: NOTE: We do not take any telephone donations or purchases of FaxGrams. It is far more secure for a donor to utilize the strong SSL encryption on our campaign pages than it is to trust information passed telephonically.
SSL Encryption: Please note that every page on our website is encrypted. The SSL certificate that Grassroots uses is a "Verified" certificate issued by the world's largest registrar, Go Daddy. In order to receive a verified certificate, we had to prove to Go Daddy that Grassroots is a legally-constituted corporation of Nevada, that its tax status is current and that it actually is present in Nevada. Additionally we were required to obtain a written opinion to these effects from an attorney at law. After undergoing, and passing, the Go Daddy audit, we were finally issued our Verified SSL Certificate. You can review the contents or our Verified Go Daddy certificate by clicking on the screen above and it will both show "green" background color and provide a pop-up (or dropdown, depending on your browser) explanation.
LIMITATION: NOTE, THIS DONOR BILL OF RIGHTS APPLIES ONLY TO CASH DONORS TO CAMPAIGNS AND END-USER PURCHASERS OF FAXGRAMS. ALL RELATIONS BETWEEN GRASSROOTS AND ITS PATRONS (CUSTOMERS) ARE CONTROLLED BY AGREEMENTS MADE SEPARATELY BETWEEN THEM.
